Jakub Zakrzewski

Jakub Zakrzewski is a General Manager at Revolut, currently responsible for launching its operations across Asian markets.

Before Revolut, Jakub was Head of Growth at Easyship, a 500 Startups VC portfolio company that won Hong Kong’s Technology Company of the Year Award in 2017, joining as one of its early employees in 2015.

Prior to joining Easyship, Jakub worked at Lazada (Rocket Internet’s most successful venture up to date, acquired by Alibaba for $1bn+ in 2016) as a first employee in Singapore, where he established business intelligence and online marketing departments at the company. He holds a Master of Science in Finance degree, awarded from ESADE Business School in Barcelona where he wrote his master thesis on "Cases of Angel Investing in Europe".

Juliana Chua

The firm was founded in 2014 in Hong Kong to help realize the potential of innovation and novel technologies to transform financial services. Today the company is a corporate finance boutique with a focus on FinTech and blockchain. Dan is appointed affiliate faculty of Singapore Management University for Innovation in Finance, FinTech, Blockchain, and digital assets. He is also a visiting professor at IE business school in its top-ranked Master in Finance program. He is also a Review Editor for Frontiers Financial Blockchain academic journal and works on research projects. In addition, he is a frequent speaker at seminars on Blockchain and Innovation in Financial Services. Before starting the firm, Dan was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and an Executive Director of HSBC Securities (Singapore) Pte Limited.

He was previously also the IT Head of HSBC’s Investment Bank in Singapore and Japan. Dan has over 19 years of Investment Banking Technology experience at UBS in both Germany and the UK, Barclays Capital in both Singapore and Tokyo, as well as Close Brothers in Frankfurt, his hometown. He is also a Ph.D. Candidate within the Finance department of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University where he researches Blockchain and AI and it effects on Finance. Previously he graduated with a Master of Science in Innovation from Singapore Management University and holds a Master in Finance from IE business school in Madrid, Spain.

Rainer Michael Preiss

Mr. Preiss has also been invited to teach and has designed courses for The Graduate School of The People's Bank of China, China's Central Bank and is currently an Adjunct Researcher at Singapore’s  NTU – Nanyang Technology University Centre of African Studies.  The mandate of the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies (CAS) is to develop awareness of Africa as an investment destination, and to develop thought leadership and capacity for doing business in Africa.

Previously he was advisor and founding member of the Asian Bond Market Forum an initiative by the Thai Ministry of Finance. In Singapore he is the co-founder of the Blockchain and Crypto Association of Singapore.

Dr. Guan Seng Khoo

Dr GS Khoo has over 28 years of data-mining, corporate and startup work-experience, focusing on risk and fund analytics. He joined Temasek Holdings in 2009 from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was the Global Head, Group Risk Analytics, heading the global team performing all global risk models validation for Basel & BIPRU compliance, and liaised with all the financial regulators in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including the FSA (UK), the FSS (Korea), CBRC, HKMA and MAS (Singapore). At Temasek Holdings, he focused on developing novel investment performance and portfolio risk management metrics, applicable across the whole spectrum of investment asset classes and horizons. He resigned from Temasek in Dec 2010 to relocate to Canada and joined Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCO), based in Edmonton in 2011, as the Head of ERM/GRC. Subsequently, he returned to Singapore in early 2016 to head the ERM function at Changi Airports International, the global investment arm of Changi Airport Group.

In his other previous roles, he designed and managed an AI-based algorithmic hedge fund at Man Investment Products (Man Group plc.) in the 90s, was Head of Innovation (Strategy & Business Devt.) at the Singapore Exchange, was Group Chief Risk Officer at a SE Asian conglomerate (RHB Capital, Malaysia) and was based in Chicago and Denver in 2001-02, providing investment and trading analytics to clients trading on the ECNs in N America and in the Asia-Pacific. He also provided advisory services to the regulators, family offices, research institutes, global and Asian banks in Malaysia, Thailand, India, Singapore, China, HK, Indonesia and Indo-China. In addition, he has also advised startup companies in S'pore, Silicon Valley and Vancouver.

He has a PhD in Physics, and has done post-doctoral work at Nagoya University, MSI's (Molecular Simulations Inc.) research centers at Caltech (Pasadena, California), Boston and at Teijin-MSI in Tokyo, Japan on computer-aided drug design and AI-based data mining. In academia, he published over 30 journal papers on financial engineering, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in financial markets and materials science. He has also published chapters on enterprise risk management for financial institutions in "Operational Risk 2.0", (Riskbooks/Incisive Media, 2007), investment management in "Sovereign Asset Management for a post-crisis World", (Riskbooks, 2011). Other publications included articles in Investment & Pensions Asia (IPA) magazine (Sept/Oct issue, 2010) where he demonstrated a deficient frontier outcome (instead of efficient frontier), entitled, "Rethinking Investment Decision-making post-GFC (Global Financial Crisis)" as well as on "Strategic Risk Allocation" in IPA Magazine (Sept/Oct 2011 issue). He has also been a speaker and panelist on "Long-term Investing" & "Hedge Fund Investing" at the 2012 Asia & Middle East Govt. Funds Roundtable, (Institutional Investors, Nov, 2012) and on "Emerging Markets and FX Risks" at the Asian Pension Funds Roundtables (Pacific Pension Institute, 2010-2012) and also presented a paper on "Valuation & Risk Issues in Illiquid Investments", in Seoul, S. Korea for Korea's pension fund association in 2012. He recently spoke at the 8th World Pensions Forum in Brussels (May 23-24, 2019) on “AI applications in Investment Management and Late Stage Venture Investing”. Currently, he also advises and teaches on Digital Risk Management, encompassing infosecurity, data lifecycle and governance, incl. data loss prevention, privacy and other related op risk areas, to banks, asset management firms and governments in SE Asia.

Brijesh Ammanath is the Global CIO for Trade and Working Capital Technology team spread across Pune and Chennai in India, London, Birmingham and Radbroke in the UK. 
Prior to Trade and Working Capital, Brijesh has played technology leadership roles in Treasury, Legal, Product Control and Market Risk in Barclays. 


Brijesh has strong international work experience having worked for over a decade in London with Merrill Lynch and later with the merged entity BoAML where he was the Technology Delivery Lead for the FX Options business.


Brijesh comes from a strong technology background, which coupled with a keen interest in the business has allowed him to develop and deliver customer centric solutions.
Brijesh’s keen interest in the Trade business and in Operations has ensured that all the technology initiatives have TWC board level support and the team collaborates across functions to drive a successful delivery. Brijesh is able to finely balance implementing Innovation to deliver transformative solutions to the business and at the same time deal with legacy IT issues built up over many years of operation.
