Jakub Zakrzewski

Jakub Zakrzewski is a General Manager at Revolut, currently responsible for launching its operations across Asian markets.

Before Revolut, Jakub was Head of Growth at Easyship, a 500 Startups VC portfolio company that won Hong Kong’s Technology Company of the Year Award in 2017, joining as one of its early employees in 2015.

Prior to joining Easyship, Jakub worked at Lazada (Rocket Internet’s most successful venture up to date, acquired by Alibaba for $1bn+ in 2016) as a first employee in Singapore, where he established business intelligence and online marketing departments at the company. He holds a Master of Science in Finance degree, awarded from ESADE Business School in Barcelona where he wrote his master thesis on "Cases of Angel Investing in Europe".

Juliana Chua

Juliana Chua is Head of Digital Transformation at NTUC Income (INCOME), Singapore’s largest composite insurer serving the protection, savings and investment needs of more than 2 million customers and a total assets of over $36 billion.

Juliana has a background in International Business Management (INSEAD), IP Law (NUS Law), Computer Science (Loughborough, UK) and leads the programme to digitise INCOME’s core businesses by adoption of design thinking and agile methodology. Juliana worked across continents in the US, China, Japan, India, UK, Singapore and is inventor to 6 patents/applications and designs for upstream innovation.

Prior INCOME, Juliana is Director of the IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) International where she forayed into US, China, Japan and Singapore markets for strategic partnerships. Dan Liebau

Daniel (Dan) is the Founder of Singapore based Lightbulb Capital. The firm was founded in 2014 in Hong Kong to help realize the potential of innovation and novel technologies to transform financial services. Today the company is a corporate finance boutique with a focus on FinTech and blockchain. Dan is appointed affiliate faculty of Singapore Management University for Innovation in Finance, FinTech, Blockchain, and digital assets. He is also a visiting professor at IE business school in its top-ranked Master in Finance program. He is also a Review Editor for Frontiers Financial Blockchain academic journal and works on research projects. In addition, he is a frequent speaker at seminars on Blockchain and Innovation in Financial Services. Before starting the firm, Dan was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and an Executive Director of HSBC Securities (Singapore) Pte Limited.

He was previously also the IT Head of HSBC’s Investment Bank in Singapore and Japan. Dan has over 19 years of Investment Banking Technology experience at UBS in both Germany and the UK, Barclays Capital in both Singapore and Tokyo, as well as Close Brothers in Frankfurt, his hometown. He is also a Ph.D. Candidate within the Finance department of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University where he researches Blockchain and AI and it effects on Finance. Previously he graduated with a Master of Science in Innovation from Singapore Management University and holds a Master in Finance from IE business school in Madrid, Spain.

Johnson Poh

Johnson Poh has been a Data Scientist with experience spanning across the finance, consulting and government sectors for the past decade. His present and past professional appointments include being Executive Director & Head Enterprise Artificial Intelligence for UOB Group, Head Data Science/Practice Lead at DBS Bank, Chief Data Scientist, ASEAN at Booz Allen Hamilton as well as Principal Data Scientist at Ministry of Defence, Singapore respectively.

Johnson also serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Singapore Management University (SMU) where his focus areas include applied statistical computing, machine learning as well as big data tools and techniques. He completed his bachelor’s degree at University of California, Berkeley, majoring in the subjects of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. He received his postgraduate degree in Statistics at Yale University.

Alan has been with the company for 16 years and, prior to moving to APAC, was the Product Manager for the SmartStream’s TLM Corporate Actions solution. Alan has more than 25 years’ industry experience within the financial services industry. Before joining SmartStream, he managed the Corporate Actions, Income Processing and Tax Departments for American Express Private Investment Bank. Whilst at American Express, Alan managed several significant projects dealing with the inception of new tax rules, implementation of new systems, procedures and business transformation initiatives.

Abhinav Mishra

Victor Alexiev

Victor heads the rollout of Citi Ventures’ D10X program in APAC. His focus is on building the infrastructure necessary for the continuous origination of ideas and teams, and delivering the support necessary for their lasting success.

Victor is a seasoned entrepreneur, global citizen, and systems thinker focused on business model innovation and automated decision support systems. He has over a decade of experience in building and scaling technology startups across the globe. His venture involvements range from intelligent content curation and discovery through forestry tokenization to HR automation and talent analytics.

He holds an MS in Decision Sciences from the London School of Economics, a double MS in System Dynamics Modelling from the University of Bergen in Norway and Radboud in the Netherlands, and a BSc in International Business from the Copenhagen Business School. Outside of Citi, he is also a co-founder and board member of Talent Data Labs, Hacker.Works, and Innovator.sg, as well as a board advisor at Ekofolio. When he is not building ventures, Victor spends quality time with his family or his PlayStation.

Marko Milek

Marko Milek is a managing director and head of State Street Global Exchange for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for managing and developing Global Exchange’s business functions – data, analytics, research and advisory – in the region. He believes analytics and data-driven decision making will improve investment outcomes.

Dr. Milek has significant experience in academia, technology industry and financial services – in areas including data and analytics, research, product and project management, business development and general management. He held various technical and management roles in the United States, Canada, Finland, Hong Kong and Singapore over the past 20 years.

He earned multiple degrees in physics and computer science from California Institute of Technology in the United States, McGill University in Canada and University of Zagreb in Croatia.

Mr. Preiss has 25 years experience in global financial markets have worked in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Middle East and Africa and Singapore in various investment and research functions.

Mr. Preiss is a graduate of the European Business School with a major in Finance and international economics, having studied at the schools centers in London, Paris and Bologna, Italy in the respective local languages. In addition he studied in Japan, Korea, and China.

Mr. Preiss has taught extensively on Finance and Wealth Management in Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Preiss has also been invited to teach and has designed courses for The Graduate School of The People's Bank of China, China's Central Bank and is currently an Adjunct Researcher at Singapore’s  NTU – Nanyang Technology University Centre of African Studies.  The mandate of the NTU-SBF Centre for African Studies (CAS) is to develop awareness of Africa as an investment destination, and to develop thought leadership and capacity for doing business in Africa.

Previously he was advisor and founding member of the Asian Bond Market Forum an initiative by the Thai Ministry of Finance. In Singapore he is the co-founder of the Blockchain and Crypto Association of Singapore.

Stanley Park

Stanley Park is Managing Director and Head of Legal - Asia Pacific Region for Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets Division. He is based in Singapore and is responsible for all legal matters across the region, including China, Japan, Korea, India, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Among other responsibilities, Stanley provides (i) transactional advice and support to the Bank's businesses related to capital markets, investment banking, commodities, corporate lending/trade finance and global transaction banking; (ii) regulatory advice and support re the Bank's businesses; (iii) management of litigation and disputes; (iv) advice and support to the Bank's internal or proprietary functions (including proprietary investments, HR matters, Finance); and (v) participation in corporate governance or oversight.

Stanley graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1985 and received his law degree from the Harvard Law School in 1988, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Stanley has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1994.

Stephen has twenty five years’ experience as an investment professional with leading investment management groups in the United States, Asia and Australia. Immediately prior to co-founding First Degree in 2011, Stephen was the Head of Global Fixed Income Product – Asia Pacific at JPMorgan Asset Management, and had investment responsibility for the firm’s mandates from Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds and some of the largest Institutions in the Asia Pacific Region.

Prior to that role, Stephen held roles with J.P Morgan Investment Management in New York and Australia, including those of Australian Head of Capital Markets Research and Asia Pacific Regional Head of Capital Markets Research.
